Although male skin care is similar to women skin care there are some subtle differences in their skin, however their skin is equally exposed to the adverse factors of age and toxins that comes through time.
Women used to be the ones that took care of their skin to avoid the damage from germs, diseases and skin conditions due to toxins, pollution and chemicals. However men have become more aware of the dangers that their skin is exposed to every day and that they also need a skin care routine.
Is not just about protecting your skin from getting wrinkled but is also a health issue. Lack of a healthy nutrition and a healthy lifestyle causes internal damages to the body that later reflects on the outside.
To keep their pores wholesome moist and vigorous mens skin treatments should have deep sanitization. One main difference in men and women skins, is that male tend to sweet more which results in larger and oilier pores.
As men age there comes a time when collagen production slows down and the skin becomes thinner, which therefore makes the skin to become more inclined to wrinkles.
Fortunately there are many male skin care products that have already been developed, but you need to make a correct evaluation of what kind of creme you are going to use on your skin.
People usually buy the creme that is more popular or the most recognized brand, but be careful because most cremes contain chemical ingredients and synthetic substances that can irritate the skin, cause inflammation and produce more wrinkles.
Mens skin care products should only contain organic ingredients that come from herbs, plant extracts, honey, vitamins and other natural elements.
One problem that the skin of male have is that it drys easily due to shaving, but by using a moisturizer after shaving you can avoid dehydratation of the skin.
Natural anti aging creams are a great option as long as they do not contain any chemical substances that can dry or irritate your skin.

Pregnancy and Travel Insurance
September 7th, 2010
Travelling while pregnant can be a bit of a gamble. “When should be your cut off date? What kinds of travel are worse than others for heavily pregnant mothers? Should you risk it if the destination isn’t prepared for or can’t or won’t offer maternity care?” The last worry you would want on top of this is “how much will it cost?” We take a look at the world of travel and pregnancy and see how having travel insurance on holiday is very important when pregnant.
When can and should you travel?
Experts differ as to when you should stop all travel if you are pregnant. To an extent it depends on the type of transport you are taking. Driving isn’t usually a problem, nor is walking unless you are trekking along very strenuous trails (though doing almost anything close to the due date may induce labour). Travelling by ship or train are, similarly, not huge problems. The main type of travel that is unsafe while pregnant is flying. The pressurised environment is arguably bad for the baby the closer to term a woman gets, and may cause complications and possible premature births.
Most airlines, for example British Airways, don’t allow pregnant women past 28 weeks to travel. Others allow you to fly after that with a doctor’s certificate up to 36 weeks and not at all after that, but that can be pushing the limit.
Will my usual travel insurance cover me?
Many companies offer travel insurance up until 28 weeks, depending on the company and the individual case. Most standard travel insurance policies don’t cover pregnancy as a medical condition, and therefore it’s best to check with your holiday insurance provider before you go. Many standard and cheap travel insurance companies will offer top-up pregnancy travel insurance policies, and it’s best to invest in one of those even just for the peace of mind it will bring. It’s also best to check the facilities of the country you are travelling to and what documentation you might need – better to be prepared than be caught short while abroad where there’s little you can do.
Do I only need travel insurance if going by plane?
No. When pregnant you will want to have the extra travel insurance in place even if you are going by train, ship, car or any other transport. This is because the main point of travel insurance whilst you are pregnant is to literally ensure that you can be pregnant and give birth in another country if necessary. Most countries have no national health provision, and health care is paid for on insurance or billed to your account when your procedure is over. Some go as far as not treating you if you are unable to pay for the treatment there and then. The last thing that you want when going into labour is to have someone questioning your financial situation. To make sure that you are covered for any foreign medical expenses, always check that you have travel insurance before booking your holiday.
Anti Aging Home Remedies – Anti Aging Herbs
September 5th, 2010
Because aging is not a disease and cannot be healed, we will concentrate on a couple of main points: The types of conditions people develop as they age, and the dreaded and most hated, premature aging.
As we get older, we quickly realize that the vitality we enjoyed as kids has now abandoned us as adults. As we age essential body fluids such as reproductive fluids, skin moisture, secretions of the endocrine system (hormones), and basic secretions such as lubrication of the joints have dried up and diminished. Skin wrinkling, sexual dysfunction and arthritic conditions are all a result of this occurrence. Both men and women are affected differently depending on what hormones are involved.
Anti aging for men
One of the most common problems of aging for men is a diminished *** drive. This is a result of a reduction in testosterone levels. In addition, the prostate begins to enlarge resulting in what is known as BPH (benign prostate hypertrophy), which if left unchecked can cause a variety of urinary problems. These problems include, too frequent urination, not enough urination, and in severe cases pain.
The male hormone shift can greatly benefit from exercise, and adequate sleep. Physical activity is also good for the prostate and could help diminish prostate enlargement. The prostate gland is located behind the male scrotum, and can be felt through the ****. In addition, regular Kegel type exercises every day, where one repetitively contracts the spincter muscles of the anus, comparable to the motion of trying to stop and start ********* midstream, repeated a number of times in sequence throughout the day, is a very efficient treatment for maintaining prostate health.
Male prostate problems can be helped immensely with a variety of foods and herbs. The known action of foods and herbs that mitigate BPH is to thwart the development of testosterone in dihydrotestosterone in the prostate gland. One of the simplest treatments to maintain prostate health is to eat a few tablespoons of pumpkin seeds each day. Taking supplemental zinc is also very helpful to dropping the size of the prostate gland.
A number of herbs available are just as effective as drug medication for the prostate, but without the side effects. These herbs include saw palmetto berries, pygeum, and the root of the stinging nettles.
Anti aging herbs
The best anti aging herb is a great Chinese herb that you cannot get anywhere but China. The herb is called Wuling ginseng. Although it is called ginseng, it is not related to the ginseng family. It is a fungus that grows in a discarded white ant terminary. Because of its immune tonic benefits, increasing vitality while at the same time inducing calm, restful state and broadly treating a number of symptoms associated with hormonal imbalances it is greatly associated with ginseng.
This herb is beneficial for all ages, but it is a universal remedy for all imbalances related to aging.
This herb has immune system and anticancer properties, which increases the immune system by increasing white blood cells. In addition, it increases the cytotoxic action of macrophages in destroying tumor cells by stimulating the production of lymphokine interleukin.
This herb has anti-anemia function, which is helpful in escalating red blood cells and therefore, counteracts anemia.
This herb also has sedative, sleep enhancing, and memory-enhancing properties in which, it promotes patterns of sound, restful sleep. In concurrence with this, it has a unique brain protective action, enhancing memory and alleviating depression.
This herb is also antifatigue, in which it increases energy and counteracts stress, as confirmed in a number of studies.
This herb also has an antisenility action; Studies were done using a female fruit fly, in which it significantly prolonged its life.
This herb also helps urine output and frequency, in which it increased the urinary output of rats by one-hundred and forty percent, and in humans, this means better urinary output and eventually less frequent urges. It also improved urea-nitrogen filtration, thus aiding overall detoxification.
Wuling ginseng has been proven repeatedly in a variety of tests and studies conducted by the Chinese manufacturer to be beneficial for a litany of hormone-related problems in men and women. When studies were done on men with BPH, it was found to be over ninety percent effective in reducing the size of the prostate and regulating urine flow. In the case of women, it was found to be highly helpful for regulating menstruation through all ages as well as the symptoms leading up to and occurring during menopause.
Women and aging
When it comes to women, perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause are all different situations with different considerations. The exact meaning of menopause is the period beginning one year after the monthly cycle has ceased. Nonetheless, the time leading up to menopause also called perimenopause can proceed for years before there is a noticeable stopping of menstruation. Hot flashes, difficulty sleeping, poor memory, mood changes, headaches, vaginal dryness, and night sweats are all a wide variety of symptoms experienced during this period. Depending on the individual, these symptoms can go on for years or weeks.
As a temporary way to alleviate the symptoms, some doctors will recommend hormone replacement surgery. During this procedure estrogen and/or progesterone is taken in supplementary form. Most women however, do not opt for this procedure, because it is believed to increase the risk of ****** cancer. Therefore, alternatives to this treatment, which include estrogenic food and herbs, are a welcome alternative for most women.
Exercise is among one of the best treatment for age related problems for both men and women. Try to start and maintain a regular exercise program. Another important key to the regulation of hormones is called isoflavones. These compounds found in some herbs and foods are able to engage the hormone receptor sites in the body and either block hormone absorption if it is too much or enable it by converting to the needed hormone when it is too little.
Vitamin E and vitamin C have been recognized by a number of women to be very effective in relieving hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms. A number of studies have proven the positive experiences of these vitamins. Vitamin E is also known as the anti-aging vitamin, and is beneficial to coronary health.
Leading up to and during menopause there are beneficial herbs that have been proven effective over the span of many years. One of these herbs is black cohosh, which was used by Native American women, and immigrant European women. Black cohosh contains estrogenic activity, which was proven during recent studies in Germany. Symptoms of menopause including hot flashes, and uncomfortable vaginal dryness due to decreased estrogen were reduced by using this herb.
Another well-known herb from Europe called chastetree berry is known to normalize female *** hormones. It has exacting benefits in helping to regulate both progesterone and estrogen levels and alleviating all menstrual irregularities as well as depression linked with premenstrual disorder and the menopausal years.
Red clover is another great herb, it is related to the bean family, and like its relative the soybean, is high in potent isoflavones and will naturally increase estrogen. This herb is also found to have anticancer properties.
Dong quai is an herb used in traditional Chinese medicine as a blood tonic for women, and it helps regulate menstruation. It works by promoting circulation throughout the uterine cavity and consequently enhancing all related functions.
Although declining hormones is one of the mainly evident causes of aging in both men and women, there are other symptoms and tendencies as well. Both men and women, but more so in women, thyroid function slows as we get older and the related slower metabolism of food often results in the gaining of weight. Cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis also becomes a greater risk. Arthritic and rheumatic problems are also ubiquitous complaints of aging.
Premature aging
Wrinkling, drying skin, brittle bones, gray hair, and loss of sexual desire are all symptoms generally associated with aging. These symptoms can show up in men and women as early as their thirties or early forties. Aging is also a genetic problem, but through life-style changes and proper diet and exercise, it can be slowed significantly. If you are serious about slowing down the aging process, a great longevity program that includes exercise, wholesome diet, clean air, restful sleep, and eliminating stress will put you on the right track.
Health, Medical Expenses & Travel Insurance
September 5th, 2010
Obtaining travel insurance with medical coverage while traveling both nationally and internationally is important for several reasons. Because most health insurance policies will not cover you once you have left your country of origin, you will be responsible for any medical expenses incurred during the trip. This includes:
Transportation or evacuation for medical purposes
Hospital stays
Medical checkups, surgery or medications given while traveling
The cost of these medical services and other expenses can be very high and you are usually expected to pay for them when you receive treatment or shortly afterwards.
Protecting your health during your trip also means getting to and from your destination without incident. Many travel insurance policies include health and medical insurance for the time you’re flying as well.
Benefits of Travel Insurance
Even if you don’t have any serious or minor health issues, accidents can happen at any time. By purchasing travel insurance, you are helping yourself get the medical attention needed to save your life.
Without medical insurance, you could be denied services or you may have to pay for these expenses out-of-pocket, which can be very costly. If traveling with family, you should definitely consider purchasing travel insurance.
Other benefits of travel insurance include:
Medical evacuation or transportation to local hospitals
Medical services
Medications
Ability to travel home to visit regular physicians at no additional cost
Death/dismemberment insurance (transportation of body upon death to country of origin)
Protecting your health and the health of each member of your family is just as important as paying for other expenses when taking a trip.
Not Just for Vacations
Travel insurance should be purchased for both vacation and business travel. If you travel often for business, protecting the welfare of your family by remaining healthy during your trips is important. If you were to become ill or need emergency surgery, you will be covered under your insurance policy.
For those who travel often, annual or multi trip travel insurance is available. This policy can be used throughout the year and is less expensive than purchasing single trip insurance each time you travel.
When it comes to your health, taking proper precautions by researching vacation destinations in advance, visiting countries that are safe and purchasing travel insurance can help you have a safe, enjoyable vacation. When looking for a policy, make sure you find one that suits your needs.
Home Made Skin Care Tips For Beautiful Skin
September 5th, 2010
There are many home made skin care tips for beautiful skin that one can benefit from. Using homemade skin care products is better for the skin as compared to artificially made creams and medications, as they are more natural and are usually healthier for the delicate skin.
One of the best benefits you can enjoy using homemade skin care products is that you know the exact types of ingredients used in the product when you make them. In addition, you can also get all of the ingredients for the product cheaply at your local store, thus helping you save tons of money when you do away with expensive bottles of creams or cleansers that contain chemical ingredients.
Chemicals can damage your skin in the long run if they are harsh. However, using ingredients that you find in your kitchen ensures that whatever you put into your skin care product is safe and 100 percent natural.
The recipes listed below use ingredients that are known to be good for the skin. The main ingredients used are natural honey, eggs, apples and yogurts.
For this recipe you will need water, 2 raw eggs and honey. In a bowl, mix honey, eggs and a little water until the mixture is consistent and smooth. Next, spread the mixture onto your face and let dry for approximately fifteen minutes. Once it has dried, you can wash it off completely using tap water. This is a light exfoliating natural product that is very cost efficient.
Honey is a great skin care ingredient that can even be used on its own to cleanse the face. Begin by dabbing your face with a warm wash cloth to open up the pores. Once you have done that, you can apply honey onto your face as if it were a mask. Then, leave it on for about ten to fifteen minutes, and wash your face with warm water and then cold water again to close the pores.
Yogurt is great for cleansing and giving moisture to the skin. Take some pure yogurt and mix it in a bowl with some honey. Then apply the mixture to your face for approximately ten minutes, and you can wash it off using warm water after that. Finally, you will find that your face has become silky soft and smooth again. The great thing is that you can use it more than once a day to keep your skin feeling baby smooth.
Another recipe that is great for the skin does not involve the use of honey. You will need to use lime and cucumber instead. Slice the cucumber, mashed it and then mix it with some squeezed lime. Once you have the two mixed together, add about three drops of rose water. Now apply the mixture to your face and let sit for about thirty minutes. Next, wash your face with cold water and you will soon notice that your skin has started to become soft and cleaner.
These recipes are for products that can be made in the comfort of your own home, where all of the required ingredients can be found from your local stores. Making home made products ensure that they are all natural and contain no chemicals. Thus, using these home made skin care tips for beautiful skin will enable you to get your desired skin easily.
Travel Safety With Access America and Travelsafe Travel Insurance
September 4th, 2010
There are several different types of travel insurance that you can choose when you are looking to protect your travel investment. Two of the most well known travel insurance companies are Access America (AA) and Travelsafe Travel Insurance (TTI). If you are planning on traveling in the United States or abroad, it is a good idea to get insurance to cover the cost of your trip in case something goes wrong.
Both Access America and Travelsafe Travel Insurance offer travel insurance for someone who is journeying in a variety of different methods – by air, sea or train. Access America is more geared towards domestic travel, although it is also used by those who are going out of the country. Many of the people who avail of Access America’s plans do so because they are going on a cruise.
Cruising Along with Access America and Travelsafe Travel
Cruises are the number one reason why people get travel insurance. You see, there is this perceived notion that cruises are subject to many mishaps, especially due to weather. One of the best aspects about choosing AA as your travel insurance is that they will insure your cruise journey. There are exclusions when it comes to insuring the cruise during hurricane season, but you can still get some type of insurance. This means that if your cruise is canceled due to a hurricane or other act of nature, you can recoup some of your money!
Medical Coverage with Access America and Travelsafe Travel
TTI is a good option when you are leaving the country and are worried about medical coverage. Medical coverage is something that many people are concerned about when they visit another country that may have foods that are different than what they are used to in the United States.
Many people who are older also worry about medical coverage when they are out of the country. By getting a policy with TTI, these worries are alleviated. You can get the coverage that you need when you choose this provider and pick one of their package deals.
Speaking of Package Deals…
Both TTI and AA offer package deals for travel that you can get for yourself by going online. Both of these companies also procure agents when it comes to selling travel insurance. Thus, you can get coverage through the agency itself when you are booking your own trip, or you can purchase the insurance when you book a trip through a travel agency.
To recap, if you are looking for a good deal on cruise travel insurance, you may want to take a look at the packages that are available through AA. They have reasonable cruise insurance packages that will even cover acts of nature. On the other hand, if you are worried about getting sick when you travel outside of the country, then do take a look at TTI’s packages.
Apart from these two distinct differences, note that TTI and AA do offer a lot when it comes to travel protection so it would be best to visit their sites and scrutinize which package works best for your own specific needs.
Traveling nowadays is easy but that does not mean you’re not prone to accidents. Get complete peace of mind by ensuring you’re covered during your journey.

Travel Insurance for Vacation Rentals
September 2nd, 2010
A family booked a rental cottage last summer, arrived safely and just loved the cottage. However, on the second day of their two week stay, the mom got a call to say her father was seriously ill and not expected to live. The family packed up and returned home, and sadly, her dad died a few days later. After the funeral, the renter called the cottage owner and asked what sort of refund she could expect as they had only used 2 days of their 14 day booking. The owner refused to pay any refund with the explanation that she relied on the cottage rental income to pay the costs of her cottage and it was always fully booked through the season. She was not able to find a replacement rental party at the last minute and as the rental agreement stated; if that was the case no money would be returned. Of course the rental group did not have travel insurance, which would probably have covered trip curtailment due to the illness and/or death of a close relative. The rental cost the family over $4000 and they were not able to recover a penny of that money.
Many people believe that trip insurance is only necessary if there is a flight involved; where delay, lost baggage, and the risk of the airline going bust, is covered; and medical cover is required in a foreign country. It’s not considered important, or not considered at all, to buy insurance to cover a trip taken by road to a self catering property in the same province or the same country.
Think again! Most cottage bookings are made several months in advance and many things could happen after you have booked to change your circumstances. Illnesses of any member of the traveling party, redundancy or a call to jury service are just a few of the situations that would be covered by a travel insurance policy. A few insurance companies also offer a ‘change of mind’ clause, allowing you to cancel for any reason after a booking has been made and paid in full. This normally pays out an amount sufficient to cover any cancellation fee the rental agency or owner may apply.
When you book your vacation rental property, check the property owners or agencies cancellation policies carefully. If it is not clear, ask the question. In general, most private owners and rental agencies will attempt to rebook a property if it is cancelled, and refund your money for the period they have rebooked, less a cancellation fee.
The premium paid for trip insurance becomes less significant, the more you are paying, however it is worthwhile at any price, for your peace of mind.
